"Son Tango: entre el sueño y la vigilia"

"Son Tango: entre el sueño y la vigilia" ("They are Tango: between sleep and wakefulness"); the first film as directors by Leonel Capitano and Juan Pablo Tabbita, shot entirely in Cuba.

A look at Cuban society from the perspective and aesthetics of tango, where the Latin American character of the genre is exalted and is united with son, in a dialogue in which music intertwines their essence, rhythm, and melancholy.

The film was released in 2022 at the "El Cairo" cinema in the city of Rosario and was screened in 30 European cities. It was selected at the independent film festivals in Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, Rome, and London and the "Días de cine" festival in Frankfurt. It was also screened in Venezuela and Bolivia. It has subtitles in English, French, Italian, German, and Croatian. Part of the soundtrack is in charge of the Argentine composer Agustín Guerrero.
